Thrive Camp Schedule


Camp Check-In - Sunday 

  • 4:00-8:00 pm - Camp Start & Check-In at Mammoth Mountain Inn
  • 6:00-8:00 pm - Welcome to Thrive Camp & Meet the Coaches

On-Snow Training Schedule - Monday through Friday

  • 8:30-9:00 am - Morning Group Warmups 
  • 9:00-11:00 am - Training Session
  • 11:00 am to Noon - Practice Session
  • Noon to 12:30 pm - Lunch Break
  • 12:30-2:00pm - Training Session
  • 2:00-2:30 pm - Group Shred & Practice

Off-Snow Training Schedule - Monday through Thursday

  • 2:30-4:00 pm - Camper Free Time - Rest & Recovery
  • 4:00-6:00 pm - Off-Snow Clinics & Training Session

    Groups for all abilities and skill levels! We allow our campers to pick and choose their coaches and activities based on what they would like to achieve on the given day.

    Morning Warmups: Start your day right!
    Start each day with dynamic movement warmups. Activate the body and set yourself up for success! Each day features a different Thrive coach leading the morning warmup.

    Parks & Freestyle Groups: Jumps, Jibs & Halfpipe
    If your goal is focused on learning tricks, catching air, and playing in the park, Thrive Riders Camp is the place to be. Learn from world-class freestyle coaches as you progress in the parks and pipe safely. Freestyle groups for all levels of Freestyle snowboarder. 

    Carving Style Groups: Carving Techniques
    Our carving masters will help you learn carving techniques from around the world. Learn the foundation of carving techniques and use those skills to develop your own personal carving style. It is time to lay it over, switch up that carve, and lay some arcs on the hill.

    New Snowboarder Beginner Group: Session Two Only
    Become a snowboarder with My Snow Coach! Thrive Riders Camp is officially hosting beginner level groups at Session Two 2020! With the support of riders from around the world and our team of pro coaches, you will make the transition from someone that goes snowboarding to someone that calls themself a snowboarder.

    Mountain Freedom Groups: All Mountain Riding
    Access more of the mountain by training with our coaches focused on bringing you comfort in terrain all around the hill. The freedom to ride where you want when you want, while you have a coach guiding you and keeping you safe.

    Big Mountain Freeride Groups: Off Piste & Steeps
    If your dream is to take your riding to mountains around the world, chasing the steeps, powder, and technical lines, the Thrive Freeride coaching is the group for you. Learn new tactics to ride terrain that makes other riders turn the other way.

    Group Shred Sessions: Riding with Friends
    While everyone has personal goals and milestones they are striving to teach, we still need time to connect and have some fun laps with friends. Groups shred sessions allow our riders to connect and wrap the day from 11,000 feet, with the best views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.


    Off Snow Training Clinics

    Video Review Series - Learn basic technics for self-analysis while watching videos of yourself riding. Practice focusing on the positive to help build your skills. Better understand how your movements create the outcomes you want on your snowboard. (Lead Coach: Perry Moon)

    Tuning Tips & Waxing - A well-tuned board equals a better day on the mountain. Learn how to care for your board, edge maintenance, and tuning, waxing, and base care. The basics kit for tuning while traveling, what you need, and how to use the tools. (Lead Coach: Chris Lange & Artie Castro)

    Boot Fitting Clinic - Understand how the biomechanics of your foot, how the ankle moved, and how the boot's flex affects your riding. Look deeper into arch support, ankle hold, your foot profile, and how to fix problems with your boots. (Lead Coach: Tony He, Certified Boot Fitter)

    Activities at Snowcreek Athletic Club - Additional fees apply for all events at Snowcreek. Monday through Thursday - 45-60 min Fitness Sessions  

    Cycling Workout - A group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. A journey of hill climbs, sprints, and flat riding. It's fun, low impact with great music to pump you up. (Lead Coach: Med Tabar, Professional Fitness Trainer) 

    Body Flow Yoga - A yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body, and your life. A series of simple yoga moves, Tai Chi and Pilates and ends with relaxation/meditation. You'll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm, centered, and happy.  (Lead Coach: Med Tabar, Professional Fitness Trainer) 

    Strength Cross Training - Get some time in the gym with Thrive Coach and certified Crossfit coach Asa Fountain. A great way to balance out your day while learning fitness activities you can train on all year round. (Lead Coach: Asa Fountain, Certified Crossfit Coach)

    Mobility & Recovery - The end of every good day of riding should have some aspect of stretching and recovery. Join us for these sessions to take that practice one step further. Learn from our fitness experts on how to keep your body healthy, flexible, and ready to ride another day. (Lead Coach: Asa Fountain, Certified Crossfit Coach)

    Trampoline Training Sessions - Training on trampolines can help build core strength, develop air awareness, and is a great way to learn to set new tricks. Get your bounce on and practice new fun tricks with the help of pro coaches. (Lead Coach: Tiffany Yang, Mammoth Trampoline Club Coach)

    Balance Board Sessions - Build your balance, learn box riding basics, and practice jib tricks off the snow with the support of a freestyle coach. This is the best way to get yourself ready to try some fun new things while keeping it safe. (Lead Coach: Ronnie Schoff)
